Advanced training directed by our staff of skilled trainers builds on the basic/new install training. These courses can be tailored to meet user needs within system capabilities. Advanced topics include but are not limited to:
  • Planning Scenarios/Courses of Fire
  • Design/Creation of Scenarios/Courses of Fire
  • Select Scenes/Backgrounds/Targets from a Library.
  • Program Target Movement and Actions (behaviors & intelligence).
  • Prepare Scenario/Courses of Fire Descriptions for Operators
  • Transfer Completed Courseware/Scenarios to Other Systems
These skills can be used on a variety of Virtual Training Systems and we offer the following courses to our customers:
  • Small Arms Trainer
  • Indirect Fire Training
  • Indirect Fire Forward Air Control Training
Meggitt Training Systems also offers courses to train our customer's own trainers/instructors in the system features and capabilities so that they can better tailor their program of instruction to their training requirements using our training systems.

Refresher training is provided in the following courses:

Two Day Refresher - Operator/Instructor Course:
The Operator/Instructor Course trains students in the operation and basic maintenance of the virtual training simulator. Operator training includes Marksmanship Lanes, Video, and the creation/authoring of Lanes Courseware. Maintenance training includes basic maintenance and the removal and replacement of failed Line Replaceable Units.

Three Day Refresher - Operator/Instructor Course:
The Operator/Instructor Course trains students in the operation of the virtual training simulator. Operator training includes system operation in all modes of operation, including Marksmanship Lanes, Video, and CGI Graphics. To ensure that each trainee gets sufficient hands on training on the virtual training simulator during the course, Meggitt Training Systems restricts the number of trainees to five (5) per simulator. In class sizes larger than ten students, additional instructors will be required.

Five Day Refresher - Operator/Instructor Course:
The Operator/Instructor Course trains students in the operation and basic maintenance of the virtual training simulator. Operator training includes system operation in all modes of operation, including Marksmanship Lanes, Video, and CGI Graphics and creation/authoring of Lanes Courseware. Maintenance training includes basic maintenance, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and the removal and replacement of failed Line Replaceable Units. To ensure that each trainee gets sufficient hands on training on the virtual training simulator during the course, Meggitt Training Systems restricts the number of trainees to five (5) per simulator. In class sizes larger than ten students, additional instructors will be required.

Three Day Refresher - Video Authoring Training:
The Video Authoring course will be a training program with the majority of the time spent working on the Authoring Station under the supervision of the instructor. The course will include: (1) Detailed orientation of the Authoring Station hardware and software, (2) Planning and creating video scenarios, (3) Use of digital camera, (4) Authoring and editing videos, (5) Creating video branches and loops, (6) Apply scoring zones to edited video clips. To ensure that each trainee gets sufficient hands on training on the Authoring Station during the course, Meggitt Training Systems restricts the number of trainees to five (5) per Authoring Station. In class sizes larger than ten students, additional instructors will be required.

Three Day Refresher - I-FACT Training:
The I-FACT Training class teaches students the operating and user maintenance skills necessary to (1) set up the training system, (2) operate the system in all modes of operation, (3) operate the SDS Lite Flite Pilot-in-the-Loop trainer, (4) create/author basic CGI courses (5) troubleshoot training system problems, (6) conduct user-level maintenance. To ensure that each trainee gets sufficient hands on training on the I-FACT during the course, Meggitt Training Systems restricts the number of trainees to five (5) per simulator. In class sizes larger than ten students, additional instructors will be required.
